Hamptons Trees

One Christmas, we visited family in the Hamptons in New York. At the back of the enormous garden of the house was a cove-like area where these trees seemed to nestle. I found myself drawn to them and then I found myself drawing them. I found their almost bare branches so expressive and animated it was though they were inviting me to join them and I think that’s what fascinated me the most about this scene. This is a limited edition of 50 giclée prints on watercolor paper or canvas. The original painting has not been sold.
